Our Story
Welcome to The Cannoli Cart — where every bite tells a story of love, tradition, and family.
I’m Lauren, a mom to 2 and a proud third-generation Italian-American with deep roots in Sicily and a heart full of memories from my childhood kitchen in Long Island. I grew up surrounded by the scent of fresh sauce simmering on the stove, flour-dusted counters, and the sound of laughter shared over rolling pins and family recipes.
From a young age, my late Momma and Zia Franca taught me the magic of cooking—not just the technique, but the love you pour into every dish.
One of the most treasured gifts my mom left me was a hand-stitched apron she made for me from her hospital bed, along with her beloved recipe book, filled with handwritten notes and family favorites. (below) Tucked inside that timeworn, love-soaked book was her recipe for cannoli.
She didn’t make them often—but when she did, they were unforgettable. Light, dreamy, and perfectly sweet, and they became the heart of every family celebration.

Authentic Sicilian Tradition
What started as a passion project—sharing homemade pasta and Italian comfort food as The Pasta Mama—soon grew into something more. Our fresh, handmade cannoli were always the special treat on the side… until they began stealing the spotlight. It became clear they deserved their own stage, and The Cannoli Cart was born.
Here, we don’t just serve desserts—we serve tradition. Every shell is filled fresh, every topping hand-chosen, and every batch made with the same care and love that’s been passed down for generations. We believe in honoring our roots, celebrating life’s sweetest moments, and bringing people together through the simple joy of something delicious.
